Lilacs Galore

I did this large painting 48"x41" in May when the Lilacs wre in full bloom. As I went to paint them I realised I did not have a large canvas strethed, so I went to my husband workshop and found this large oak plywood panel. I gave it a few coats of sealer and stared painting. I left the oak grain show through on the background. I will not do this again. It was not easy to get the paint to fill in on the open grain. For Sale $2,500.
